APPLY FOR A GRANT

What groups qualify?
Due to the nature of the Arizona tax code for tax credits, we can only grant funds for camps/events where such funds are not used to pay for “in-season” or “during school hours” camps/events/clinics for public, private, or charter schools or thier districts. The activites we review must provide food, shelter, or supervision outside of regular school activites to youth living in the State of Arizona.

Example Event Scenarios We Accept
Hometown High Sports Team Summer Camp-  Many teams attend off-season camps where the team members individually pay an attendance fee to participate. These fees may prohibit some youth from being able to participate and therefore inflict additional out of school care burdens on thier families. As long as zero granted funds are used or held over for regular in-season activities sponsored by the school, BILT Foundation could grant funds to pay for individual attendance fees if the camp passes our review criteria.
Main Street Junior High Cheer Off-Season Workouts-  Many teams have off-season regularily occuring events that are not sponsored by the schools they play for in-season and have additioanl costs associated with their participation.  These costs may prohibit some youth from being able to participate and therefore inflict additional out of school care burdens on thier families. BILT Foundation could grant funds for approved out-of-season events as long as zero funds related to the specific events are used or held over for regular in-season activities sponsored by the school.
Anytown Youth Football League-  Involvement in these leagues builds character, provides supervision, and engages kids to be active.  However, many of these leagues have participation fees that prohibit some families from joining and therefore inflict additional out of school care burdens on thier families. BILT Foundation could grant funds to pay for individual participation costs of leagues that pass our review criteria.
